These works were established from my experiences shooting video in China around the time of the 20 anniversary of Tiananmen Square protests. Having that time in Beijing opened my eyes to the many dissident artists of China and what has been happening to the likes of Guo Jian, Yan Zhengxue, Liu Yi, Chen Guang, and Ai Weiwei. Welcome to my world of “Chairman Meow”.
